An ancient people, long oppressed and divided by foreign powers and within themselves, the Kurds need to hear the good news of the true freedom that comes in Jesus Christ.

The Kurdish people are the largest people group in the world without their own country. There are more than 30 million Kurds in over 40 different countries in the world. Thousands upon thousands have left their homelands of the mountainous regions crossing the borders of Turkey, Iran, Iraq & Syria, where over 25 million still live.

In their homelands, the Kurds have faced numerous atrocities in the last decades, not the least of which has been the campaign by the Iraqi government against the Kurds in Northern Iraq.

The Bible speaks of the Medes, who the Kurds claim as their ancestors, from as early as the table of nations in Genesis 10:2, where Madai is listed as one of the grandsons of Noah, all the way through Acts 2:9, where the Medes were among those in Jerusalem who heard the wonders of God in their own language!

Most significantly perhaps is the proclamation made by King Darius,
the Mede, found in Daniel 6:25-27:

"Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land:

May you prosper greatly!

I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.

For He is the living God and He endures forever; His kingdom will not be destroyed, His dominion will never end. He rescues and He saves; He performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions."

We believe that this declaration is prophetic for the Kurds still today - that they will be a people who will again declare to every people, nation and language the wonders of the living God! If you would like to be a part of seeing this prophecy come true, contact us! There are more than enough opportunities for you to be involved
